One of Silvio Berlusconi's personal holding companies sells its stakes in the Mediaset group to Fininvest for almost 5 million. The Second Italian Holding has sold its 0,184% in recent days, held directly in the Biscione company, to the financial company. The object of the transaction was a package of approximately 2 million shares which changed hands at values close to 2,5 euro per share, substantially in line with market prices.
The objective of the sale was to rationalize the allocation of the Berlusconi family's equity investments in Mediaset. With the purchase of Fininvest, which on the occasion of the last Mediaset meeting held 41,1%, rounds off the stake, approaching 41,3%. According to Consob communications, Fininvest has in fact 41,291%.
