Mediaset, profit improves but at the end of 2015 it is pitch dark

The uncertainty of advertising sales in Italy and Spain and above all the unknown Champions League for Mediaset Premium do not allow us to make forecasts for the second half of the year and Piazza Affari heavily punishes the stock - Stable revenues and growing profits in the first half

Mediaset, profit improves but at the end of 2015 it is pitch dark

The first half of the Mediaset group is closing, which closed with a consolidated net result of 24,3 million euros, up sharply compared to the loss of 20,5 million recorded in the same period of 2014. Net revenues remained substantially stable at 1,721 billion, while Ebit rose to 137,5 million from the previous 109,5 million, while net debt decreased to 628,2 million.

Il Biscione, however, does not make estimates for the rest of the year: "At the moment, the reduced predictability of the reference markets and the high volatility of the economic cycle make it difficult to make a precise estimate of the group's financial results at the end of the year - it reads in the note – Results which will depend on the dynamics of advertising revenues in Italy and Spain and on the trend of Mediaset Premium subscriptions in the coming months of the year”.

The non-publication of the results weighs on the Mediaset stock, which at the start gives over 3% to Piazza Affari.
