Mediaset's stock on the Stock Exchange is still on the rise, after yesterday's +4% and today, half an hour after the opening, it gains 0,4%, to 3,79 euros.
The Biscione company has until June 20 to decide what to do with its share in Spanish pay-TV Digital+: it will be able to exercise the right of first refusal to match Telefonica's offer and share control of Digital+ or overcome it with a raise.
It also appears that Telefonica has offered Mediaset 350 million euros for its 22% of Spanish pay TV, more than 50 million more than what is due under existing agreements.
Another driver of the increase is Al Jazeera's interest in joining Mediaset Premium.
