Mediaset it closed the first nine months of 2014 with a loss of 46,8 million euros, against the loss of 27,3 million recorded in the same period last year. However, the deterioration is less serious than expected by analysts and the company still expects to close the year with "a net result in positive territory". The loss for the period was also affected by the capital loss of 16 million due to the sale of Digital Plus during the year.

The CFO Marco Giordani also explained that Mediaset is in progress contacts with possible commercial partners for Premium pay-TV in order to be ready by July 2015 at the time of the launch of the new offer with the exclusivity of the Champions League, while there is no news on the entry of new shareholders in the shareholding structure of Premium other than Telefonica.

The market liked the indications and at the opening of the session the Mediaset stock on the Stock Exchange gained nine percentage points, the best rise of the Ftse Mib by far. 

As for the revenues, were essentially stable at 2,387 billion (against 2,390 a year ago), above all thanks to the increase in Spain, which offset the -4,9% of advertising revenues in Italy. 

For the month of October, the group expects the trend of Italian advertising revenue can remain in line with that of the first nine months.
