Mediaset, Confalonieri: "After Telefonica we are ready for new alliances"

The sale of 11% of Mediaset Premium to Telefonica "is convenient for us, but in our strategy there is to increasingly turn to the outside and, both in terms of technology and geographical nature, to expand our range of action . Then we'll see what we can do." Said the president of Mediaset, Faithful Confalonieri, during a hearing in the Transport Committee in the Chamber.

“Of course – he added – the economic period must also change a bit, because if the economy remains what it is, consumption is what it is and therefore advertising revenues remain so depressed, we don't have many possibilities to invest in content or something else, but we do a normal administration activity, certainly not one of broad visions for the future. Let's hope that changes."

Meanwhile, in Piazza Affari, the Mediaset stock lost two percentage points in mid-afternoon, with shares trading at 3,226 euros.
