Mba: Harvard is the best, only Bocconi among the Italians

US schools for future managers remain the best, but Chinese ones are advancing and pressing. In summary, this is what emerges from the Global MBA Ranking 2013, i.e. the ranking of the best Masters in business administration, published by the Financial Times and based on the combination of 20 different indicators (ranging from the salary increase after the course to the speed with which students find a place at the top of companies, passing through diversity and research quality).

This year, the very prestigious one leaps into the lead Harvard Business School, which takes back the throne from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, while the University of Penssylania: Wharton closes the podium. Followed by London Business School, first among the European ones, and Columbia Business School, stable compared to last year.

However, Chinese schools take care of moving the rankings; the Hong Kong Business School, which rises to eighth place (the average salary increase of alumni is 151%) and the Ceibs, with a real leap forward from 24th to 15th place.

It's Italy? Italy remains to watch, with the exception of Masters in business administration from Sda Bocconi, which rises by three positions compared to 2012 and is still in 36th position (also occupied in the three-year average), in 14th place among the European MBAs. Once they complete their master's, alumni earn an average of 111% more, at $113 a year.
