Microsoft will make a $2 billion offer this week to buy Swedish company Mojang, maker of one of the world's most popular video games, Minecraft. Microsoft CEO Nadella highlighted the importance of the operation to enter the market of mobile devices, especially smartphones, while Mojang does not want to sell.

The Wall Street Journal reveals that Microsoft is ready to make a maxi offer of 2 billion dollars to buy the Swedish hi-tech company Mojang, producer of the famous video game Minecraft - which has sold more than 50 million copies since 2009. Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, underlined the importance of the success of the operation to penetrate new markets, vital for the company's relaunch.

The multibillion-dollar relaunch hoped for by the CEO of the Redmond group, Satya Nadella, is a challenge that could bring Bill Gates' former company back to its former glory - that is, until Apple began its proverbial growth. In fact, in addition to grabbing the profits from the sale of video games, Microsoft could also forcefully enter the segments of digital gadgets and mobile devices.

The interests on the deal, however, appear too divergent for the moment for a positive outcome of the transaction. On the one hand, Microsoft is looking for a successful relaunch of a brand that has suffered too much from the impressive rise of its direct competitor from Cupertino, Apple. On the other hand, the 35-year-old Swedish programmer Markus Persson, founder of Mojang, has categorically ruled out any possibility of sale - and entry of external investors - of the company which has recorded profits of 15 million dollars with only 40 employees.
