Mario Draghi with suitcase in hand. After the last two Italian appearances on the occasion of the Final Considerations of the outgoing Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, and at the reception for the Republic Day at the Quirinale, the former Prime Minister and former President of the European Central Bank is ready to start. Direction Paris, where on 22 June he will speak as an exceptional speaker at the Amundi convention, the transalpine asset management giant.
Draghi, on the other hand, had already anticipated his departure a few days ago: "I'll be around a bit for some conferences abroad without making public outings in Italy,” he told Milano Finanza.

The first stage of his "tour" abroad will therefore be France. Draghi will be the speaker of the convention entitled “The global shack up – Where will the pieces fall?”, organized by Amundi to try to identify the right path forward for investors the future.
As anticipated by MF, on that occasion, the former number one of the ECB will give a speech that will start from the significant events of recent years – Covid, the energy crisis and the war in Ukraine – during which global economies have seen the old patterns unravel in a sort of global revolution.
Together with Draghi, the top exponents of French and European finance will also speak at the conference, such as Douglas W. Diamond (Nobel Prize for Economic Sciences in 2022) and General Jean-Paul Paloméros, NATO's supreme allied commander for transformation and former head of General Staff of the French Air Force.
