Rossella Strippoli, Francesco Ruscigno and Giampiero Martini, cextraordinary commissioners of Mariella Burani Fashion Group, an apparel group that filed for bankruptcy in 2010, they released yesterday in some Italian newspapers and in the Financial Times an extract of the announcement for the presentation of binding offers for the purchase of the business complex headed by the Reggio group which, as is well known, is now under extraordinary administration.
The announcement concerns both the production activity, the Cavriago pole, and the various distribution points of women's clothing and accessories with own and licensed brands and the directly managed "Mariella Burani" single-brand boutiques. The offers, which must be received within 30 days of March 6, must contain a strategic development plan, in summary form, which necessarily includes a commitment to maintain employment for the company's 182 employees for the next two years, plus the necessary bank references.
The commissioners also reserved the possibility of selling the goods contained in the tender separately to different buyers, and also to sell, if the bidders so request, additional assets.
