Maneuver, all eyes on today's majority summit. Appeal by Confindustria

Maneuver: eyes fixed on the majority meeting that will take place tomorrow in the Senate with the Minister of Economy Giulio Tremonti. The meeting should take place in the afternoon because the minister is first busy in Brussels. The representatives of the majority of the Budget commissions of the Chamber and Senate and the leaders of the Lega and Pdl groups of Palazzo Madama and
Deputies. The meeting will serve to take stock of the amendments to be presented to the maneuver whose deadline expires tomorrow at 18.
Auditions are on stage today. The first to be heard were the representatives of Confindustria, then Rete Impresa Italia, then the trade unions. The occasion was used by Giampaolo Galli, general manager of Confindustria (see summary at the end of the article), to launch an appeal: "Politics must be cohesive in the objective of shielding the country from the risks that are hitting the 'Europe'. We appeal to the sense of responsibility of all political forces, in a very difficult moment”. For Galli, faced with the market situation "unfortunately worsened today, there is nothing else to do but express the will that the maneuver be approved as quickly as possible", perhaps by "strengthening the manoeuvre, anticipating some measures envisaged in the fiscal and welfare delegation”. Not only that: perhaps it would not be bad to anticipate the intervention on the reduction of the costs of politics, also to give a signal. "We have punctual observations - underlined Galli - but I believe that above all there must be a commitment from everyone so that the balances are not changed".
