In the maneuver bis that the Government is preparing to launch there is a hole of 3 billion euros, at least according to the calculations of the Democratic Party. According to Stefano Fassina, economic manager of the party, the technical report to the amendments tabled yesterday by the Government quantifies the new interventions in a "dangerous way, without any empirical support".
The forecasts on the funds that the State will be able to collect “are entrusted to 'dissuasive purposes', to 'more virtuous behaviour', to the 'increase of compliance'. Faced with "these obvious distortions and contradictions in the application of public accounting principles", the Democratic Party asks "the State Accountant General to urgently provide the Senate Budget Commission with adequate explanations and analytical documentation".
