For this reason, Baretta explained, the Government thinks “of extend it, for example, to condominiums and the seismic safety of houses. If possible, reducing the period, currently ten years, within which taxpayers can recover the credit”.

As for the possibilities of defuse the safeguard clauses, the undersecretary clarified that "even if with inflation at zero the VAT increase would have a limited impact", the government's objective "is to avert it: for 2017 it is a commitment worth 15 billion euros, onerous . We will try to cover the lower revenue with measures that are as structural as possible, so as to lighten the cost of sterilization in future years".

Finally, on the front pensions, Baretta reiterated that “there will be flexibility in the output and we will ensure that some groups of workers in greater difficulty do not have to bear penalties when they use this tool. It is an excellent measure both from a social and an industrial point of view, because one of the components of growth is a non-traumatic generational change in the workplace”.
