Manchester's Red Devils will wear Adidas kits from the 2015/2016 season onwards for the next ten years. The deal was signed for 947 million, just over 87 million a year that Adidas will have to pay Manchester United as its technical sponsor. After twelve years of Nike fabrics, the red devils are back to wearing Adidas, as they had already done from 1980 to 1992. The agreement is mind-boggling and makes the English club the most paid by the technical sponsor in the world, above superpowers like Real Madrid and Chelsea.
In fact, the millions received by Manchester United will be more than double compared to the approximately 38 of Real Madrid and Chelsea. Almost six times what the other Manchester team earns, City, which gets just over 15 million a year from its technical sponsor. Even the Barcelona of Messi, Iniesta and Xavi are more than two lengths behind.
The red on the Manchester Devils shirts will be more expensive than Rosso Valentino. Unthinkable, how useless to make a comparison with the revenues of Italian clubs driven by the earnings of Juventus, Milan, Inter - respectively 30 and 20 million from Adidas and 18 from Nike - with Roma detached at 4 million a year with the new Nike shirts.
