THEItaly is still in the tight grip of the Maltempo. After the storms of yesterday – which have literally plagued Tuscany, with flooding of rivers and streams, victims and missing people – even today the Civil Protection has issued red weather alerts, orange e Yellow over most of the central-northern regions. In fact, a new disturbance is on the way: eyes focused above all on Veneto. Rain also expected in Calabria, Campania, Basilicata and Sicily.
Weather warning for Saturday 4 November: here's where
Due to thunderstorms, strong winds and a sharp drop in temperatures, also for today, Saturday 4 November the Civil Protection issued thered alert due to hydraulic risk on part of the Veneto. Orange alert on Lombardy, part of Liguria, Emilia-Romagna and that yellow on part of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna Veneto, Liguria and Lombardy, Sardinia, Puglia, Basilicata and on the autonomous province of Trento, Campania, Calabria and Sicily.
How long will the bad weather last?
For this weekend the experts' forecasts are not encouraging. It will be a weekend of severe bad weather practically across the North, with other storms affecting all regions, giving rise to rather violent phenomena. Rain, showers and thunderstorms also in the Center (Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Marche, Abruzzo and Molise). Still beautiful in the South, albeit with a drop in temperatures. Sunday November 5 instead there will be a slight improvement in the afternoon, but a windy day is ahead especially in Sardinia, on the peninsular regions and on the seas, with a high risk of storm surges on the most exposed coasts. And then? According to experts, there will be one on Monday 6 November brief respite, but as early as Tuesday 7th yet another disturbance will arrive from North Africa, with thunderstorms in the Centre, Campania and Sardinia. In short, the rains and thunderstorms will return, temperatures will drop significantly throughout the country.
