It is the alert on the Tiber, and now eyes on the Aniene as well. A new wave of floods has caused inconvenience and flooding in the northern area of the capital, in Castel Giubileo and along via Flaminia. Problems also due to Via dei Prati Fiscali, closed to traffic like the Tor di Quinto underpass towards the center. The Salaria has been temporarily blocked in the section between km 29.300 and km 34.100.
The flood of the Tiber has also caused the closure of the emergency room of the Fatebenefratelli hospital, on the island of Tiberina. All other hospital care activities are continuing as normal.
The Lazio region has activated the permanent crisis unit to manage the most critical scenarios, but a stable situation is expected, without further deterioration. The passage of the flood should be gradual and prolonged, but safety conditions should not deteriorate. The Tiber is currently overflowing at Torrita Tiberina, in the locality of Cannaro and at Pantano (Monte Rotondo).
On the other hand, the situation in Tuscany and Umbria, as well as in upper Lazio, appears much more complex. The situation is especially complicated in the province of Grosseto, where the'Enel, during the night, restored electricity almost entirely, after the blackout of the last few days. Even here the worst moment seems to have passed, despite numerous sections of the provincial roads remaining closed.
