Bad weather: fear passed in Rome, the alarm moves south

In Rome it continues to rain but the most serious alarm has returned – Here are the territories most at risk and the Municipalities that have closed schools in Tuscany, Campania, Calabria and Sicily.

Bad weather: fear passed in Rome, the alarm moves south

The bad weather warning is slowly moving from Northern to Southern Italy, while the rain in Rome - punctually continuing - no longer causes any particular concern. According to the Civil Protection, the areas where the weather creates the most dangers are the following: Veneto basin of Livenza, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Umbria, Tuscan basin of Albegna, southern Lazio and part of Molise, Calabria, a large part of Basilicata, southern Puglia and much of Sicily.

TUSCANY

Third day of schools closed due to the bad weather emergency in Maremma, in particular in Manciano, Monte Argentario, Capalbio, Orbetello, Magliano in Toscana and Pitigliano.

CAMPANIA 

Schools closed in Sarno, in the province of Salerno.

CALABRIA 

The mayor of Catanzaro, Sergio Abramo, has ordered the closure of all school complexes of all levels in the city for 7 and 8 November. Schools also closed in Locri. 

SICILY 

The mayor of Palermo Leoluca Orlando has issued an ordinance establishing for today the closure in the city of all schools of all levels, including nursery schools and the educational services of the Municipality. Schools closed 15 until Saturday 8 November also in the municipalities of Enna, Calascibetta, (only for the Umberto I complex) Pietraperzia (only for tomorrow 7 November) Aidone, Assoro, Leonforte, Nicosia and Valguarnera. The bad weather warning should stop tonight but the red code for hydrological risk and the yellow code for hydraulic risk are incumbent on these municipalities. Today school facilities also closed in Catania and in the Aeolian Islands.
