Malabureaucracy: Confagricoltura attacks Agea

The association put the Agency in formal notice for disbursements in agriculture, denouncing delays and malfunctions in the management of European funds.

The authorized agricultural assistance center of Confagricoltura denounced "inertia, shortcomings, omissions, delays by Agea in fulfilling its legal and contractual obligations and in any case the failure to activate suitable procedures to avoid damage to the producers", and therefore decided to challenge and put the Agency for disbursements in agriculture into formal notice. This is what we read in a press release.

With this move, the Confagricoltura Service Center - which assists agricultural enterprises in preparing and submitting applications for European contributions and RDPs - has declined "any responsibility" in the management of applications from companies for obtaining European funds, not having received "in good time and in a complete and exhaustive manner - continues the note - all the necessary tools, means, information and anything else necessary to correctly execute the delegated activities". And he also contested "repeated phenomena of serious slowdowns in the functioning of the National Agricultural Information System (SIAN)", which still exist today.

“From the protest in the square against Agea we inevitably had to move on to a formal complaint – writes Confagricoltura -, which is also a preparatory act for subsequent actions to protect businesses. The real risk is that users end up suffering very serious damage, without having any responsibility for it, in a framework that has deteriorated beyond all limits".
