Maire Tecnimont she won a $450 million contract in India. The news gave wings to the stock on the stock exchange of the company, which gained 3,32% in mid-morning, to 2,68 euros.

The group specifies in a note that a consortium made up of the subsidiaries Tecnimont and Tecnimont Private Limited, based in Mumbai, was awarded a Lump Sum Epcc (Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) contract from Indian Oil Corporation Limited. The assignment involves the construction of a new paraxylene plant (located in Paradip, in the state of Odisha, in eastern India) and related infrastructure.

The work includes engineering activities, the supply of equipment and materials and construction activities up to plant start-up and performance trials. Once completed, the new plant will have a capacity of 800 tonnes per year.
