Maire Tecnimont, through its subsidiaries Tecnimont Spa and MT Russia LLC, has signed a 1,1 billion euro contract with Rosneft. The agreement provides for the construction of a hydrocracking plant Vgo in Russia, 200 kilometers southeast of Moscow.
Vgo is the acronym of “Vacuum Gas Oil” (vacuum gas oil), which is produced by the vacuum distillation unit present in a refinery.
The plant will be built in the Ryazan Refining Company production center, one of the largest Russian refiners by refining volume and production.
Once completed, the complex will have a capacity of 40.000 barrels per day, "in order to meet the needs of the local market", reads a note from Maire Tecnimont.
