The Brescian Salone del Gusto with the excellence of over 100 local producers - Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September 2014, Villa Lechi in Erbusco (BS) will host the new appointment with "MADE IN THE PROVINCE OF BRESCIA - Territory to be experienced", now in its fifth edition.

“Made in the Province of Brescia, Territory to Live”: appointment 13 and 14 September

After the success achieved by the previous events (organized in order at the Olivetan Abbey of Rodengo Saiano, Villa Fenaroli of Rezzato, Palazzo Cigola Martinoni of Cigole and Castello Bonoris of Montichiari, in collaboration with the local administrations and with the provincial Wine Center) , the splendid rooms and the park of the historic residence in Franciacorta are ready to welcome a new appointment with the Made in the Province of Brescia.

“At a time when the economy is experiencing a profound crisis – affirms the Hon. Daniele Molgora, President of the Province of Brescia -, we decided to insist on the element that demonstrated the greatest criticality: the internal market. To do this, it is necessary to involve our territory, with all its identity strength. First of all, we must draw the attention of consumers to the quality of our products, making them aware that buying Bresciano means moving our economy and reinvesting resources, favoring companies that have decided not to relocate.

Hence the brand "MADE IN THE PROVINCE OF BRESCIA" was born, so that the quality of Brescia can be made known and spread, not only in the agri-food sector, but also in particular in artisanal activities."
The province of Brescia is a place with international appeal in terms of productivity. Brescia is synonymous with work; it means companies, whose efficiency is appreciated all over the world, for goods and services of the highest quality, winning elements for the development of the economy.

The previous reviews recorded record attendances: even ten thousand presences, who didn't limit themselves to visiting the stands, but bought the products, goods and services to the great satisfaction of the exhibitors. This indicates that the Company and Territory Brand is a useful tool for consolidating and creating new relationships between producer and consumer, between entrepreneur and customers, between entrepreneur and entrepreneur.

The review will offer visitors a journey through the beauties of the area rich in culture, history and traditions. "The Salone del Gusto all Bresciano - specifies the new President of the Consortium of Excellence in the Province of Brescia, Mauro Tognoli - will offer its food and wine excellences such as cheeses, oil, wine, cured meats, honey, jams, sweet spices, many products with PDO denomination and with DE.CO of the 20 Municipalities adhering to the Brand”.

“Made in the Province of Brescia Territorio da Vivere – concludes Tognoli – will welcome over 100 exhibitors, a space dedicated to cooking-shows, catering and moments of musical entertainment, organized by the Provincia di Brescia Eventi foundation”.
Villa Lechi The grandest of Erbusco's palaces is the one built by the Martinengos between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. This is how Fausto Lechi presents it to us in the work "Le Dimore Bresciane": "It is the most important and singular architectural fact among the Brescian villas: important because such a large-scale construction of that era is not common, singular because none another villa, even in the neighboring provinces, resembles it in its well-studied proportions. No other gentleman of the time felt like imitating its unusual shapes.

Yet it is the translation into an elegant term, late sixteenth century, of a village scheme, widespread in the plaga". The initiator of the work should be Cesare Martinengo (born in 1550). The construction and completion of the villa then continued over the years, so much so that modifications and enlargements would change its initial appearance.
The wings of the villa jut out high on the slope of the hill, thus increasing the solemnity of the whole. The portico - with its nine arches in each of the wings and eleven in the central body - seems to mark a continuous rhythm, insistent like a symphony that revolves around the vast grassy courtyard.

The wings, facing south, have their own facade, with two large arches, terminals of the portico, from which a wide staircase descends to the garden. The garden is enclosed towards the street by a neo-classical gate, while the central archway at the entrance is typical of the seventeenth century, formed by two half-columns in Sarnico stone, leaning against a wall in which the very high arch opens, decorated of a halo of ashlars; the two columns carry the pediment, also in Sarnico.

The commitment of the Province of Brescia in the context of the relaunch of Brescia's production activities is not limited only to the organization of these showcases of excellence which, although of considerable importance, represent one of the many interventions put in place to support our companies. In fact, to contribute to the relaunch of the local economy, the Province focuses on the promotion and enhancement of its excellence, having activated the following tools:

FINANCING

A package of interventions for around 800.000 euros to support our production realities, with non-repayable contributions, intended for:
– carry out technological innovation projects as well as internationalization and business aggregation processes;
– facilitate access to credit for local SMEs by fully covering the administrative costs for opening credit lines through consortia;
– facilitate the participation of our SMEs in trade fairs throughout Italy by covering up to 40% of the costs incurred.
