Made in China, a problem for India too

By now this type of product is not only a problem for Western countries - An editorial in the "Times of India" rails against the invasion of Made in China on Indian markets, from computers to toys - Even many of the flags waved during the protests of the last few days have been imported by the Asian manufacturing giant.

Made in China, a problem for India too

It is not only Western countries that are invaded by products "made in China", but also Asian ones, such as India.
An editorial published in the "Times of India" claims that Indian markets are full of counterfeit products - from clothes to toys and computers - from the People's Republic. As evidence of this invasion, the article reveals that in the last days of marches and protests, many demonstrators would have waved Indian flags manufactured in Beijing. While the original flags are made from kadhi yarns, cotton and silk, the Chinese version would be made from low quality cotton and sold at bargain prices (around one rupee a piece).

However, another detail has unleashed the editorialist's indignation: the original Indian tricolor houses the national emblem, the Ashok Chakra, a wheel with 24 spokes. The emblem, which represents the eternal wheel of law, in the Chinese version waved by many demonstrators who support Anna Hazare's anti-corruption protest, would instead have only 18 spokes. Once realizing the mistake, many demonstrators got rid of the Chinese product considering it a "disgrace to the national banner".
