Luxury Goods: Is Investing in Branded Bags Still Interesting? Upcoming Auctions Will Tell Us

These are years of excitement for luxury bags, from the most prestigious brands, which are sold at online auctions with prices even above their real value, but with the luxury crisis, which is affecting fashion, watches and other goods, what will happen in the next period to accessories such as the coveted "handbags"?

Luxury Goods: Is Investing in Branded Bags Still Interesting? Upcoming Auctions Will Tell Us

In this semester we have had the opportunity to see an important change in luxury goods that is recorded in all sectors with an evident drop in sales due to multiple factors that we have already discussed. It will be interesting to see how the accessory segment will react, given that those who have collected entire fortunes of bags are the ones putting them on the market. Is there perhaps a fear that they could suddenly lose value and therefore the investment? Because it is an investment. It will therefore be interesting to wait for the results of the online auction: Unlocking the Orange Dream: Handbags from an Important Private Collection, which Christies' Paris is offering from October 30 to November 13, 2024. Given the estimates, still accessible, will enthusiasts of these luxury objects play among themselves to raise their prices or will they simply stand by and watch?
