After yesterday's rally, driven by stellar earnings from Prada (+110% to 121,7 million) and above all by the sudden cut in the discount rate applied by China, one of the sector's reference markets, today a decidedly negative day for luxury stocks in Piazza Affari.
In the middle of the morning, Salvatore Ferragamo -1,51%, Luxottica -1,2%, Tod's -2,27%, Yoox -1,08% and above all Brunello Cucinelli, which yesterday had gone up by +8%, turned negative only to then record today the most significant collapse among the shares in the sector: -4,11%.
