THEParliamentary Budget Office Updated as of July 31, 2022 the database of domestic government bonds published on his site. It is a tool that allows users the interactive visualization of the main information concerning the evolution of the public debt.
It is possible to analyze the history of each government bond, the aggregate data relating to issues, redemptions, net issues and securities outstanding, the related interest expense and the distributions of the following indicators:
– composition of issues and stocks by type of security, year of issue and rate applied;
– average global and issue rates by year of issue and type of security;
– average residual maturity by year of issue and type of security.
The data, supplied by the Bank of Italy and the Treasury, is used by the PBO to estimate expenditure for interest on the Italian public debt and can be downloaded in an editable format.
