Bill Gates is once again the richest man in the world with an estimated personal net worth of $72.7 billion. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index reveals it. The 57-year-old co-founder of Microsoft surpassed Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim (in second place) by more than 550 million dollars, which stopped at 72,1 billion.
Gates has seen his fortune grow by $10 billion this year. Slim's collapse was caused by an anti-monopoly law passed by the Mexican parliament that cost him $2 billion. In third place Warren Buffet with 60,2 billion. Followed by the patron of Zara Amancio Ortega in fourth place (56 billion dollars), the founder of Ikea Ingvar Kamprad (55,6 billion); while in sixth and seventh position are the American brothers Charles and David Koch (both with 45,2 billion), of Koch Industries, one of the largest energy multinationals in the world.
Among the Italians, the first remains Michele Ferrero anchored in 27th place with assets of 23,4 billion. The first woman is Christy Walton, widow of John T. Walton (second son of the founder of Wal-Mart, Sam Walton) who is in ninth place with 37,9 billion dollars.
