Black Monday on the Stock Exchange: China knocks everyone out. Milan loses more than 3% but Ferrari closes on the rise

One fact is certain: 2016 did not start under a lucky star. After the lockout in Shanghai, which halted trading at 13.28 local time when the CSI 300 index hit a 7% loss, the declines continued throughout the day, from Europe to the US.

The Chinese crisis was triggered by the disappointing results of the PMI index. On the other hand, the data of the European manufacturing index for December, better than forecasts, were of little use.

Frankfurt, the worst stock exchange, closed down by more than four percentage points (4,2%). At Piazza Affari the Ftse MIB index lost 3,2%. Paris lost 2,4% and London 2,39%.

Government bond yields rise: the ten-year BTP yields 1,554%, but the spread remains below 100 points. Today the ECB resumed its QE purchases after the holiday break. Wall Street accelerates down and recorded, shortly after 17 pm, the third consecutive decline, i.e. the first of 2016. The S&P500 lost 2,5%, the Dow Jones 2,44% and the Nasdaq 3,6%. Apple leads the declines of the S&P and Nasdaq with around 2% declines. On the other hand, Goldman Sachs has the little coveted record of worst Dow Jones stock.

Volatile oil: the Wti traded in gain of 0,7% to 37,23 dollars a barrel, has come to gain more than 2,5%. At Piazza Affari between the oilmen Eni loses 2,6%. Saipem -3,3%, Tenaris -1,2%.

Given the day, it is not to be despised the Ferrari debut, which closed up 0,5% and is traded in Milan at 43,67 euros per share. In turn, FCA closes at 8,15 euros, a price that takes into account the spin-off of Ferrari: the adjusted FCA closing price for 2015 is equal to 8,49 euros. Good data on registrations with Spain closing 2015 at +20,7%, France +12,5%, the best increase since 2009. Italian data will be released in the evening: the European auto sector has lost 3,3% .

Only minus signs in the rest of the Italian price list. In deep red the banks are closed starting from Big Unicredit -2,9%, Intesa -3,4% and Mediobanca -3,3%. Banca Popolare Milano drops 1,6%, Popolare Emilia Romagna -3,69%, Banco Popolare -4,4%.

Sales also on asset management. Azimut -4,29%, Banca Mediolanum -4,8%, Soul -3,5%.

Molto luxury is bad toohit by the Chinese crisis: Ferragamo loses 5%, Tod's -2,5%, Moncler -3,6%. The heaviest drop is that of Yoox -7%. Luxottica -3,4%.
