Luiss Business School focuses on the North-East: it opens the "Veneto delle Dolomiti" hub

Luiss Business School accelerates the development of its presence on the national territory by opening the "Veneto delle Dolomiti" hub, a new pole of advanced training, consultancy and applied research in the area of business and management aimed at companies present on a territory historically rich in entrepreneurial and industrial excellence.

Established by Luiss Business School in collaboration with Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, Province of Belluno, Municipality of Belluno, Municipality of Feltre and Consorzio BIM Piave di Belluno, the new hub fills a historic educational gap in a province which also saw the birth and growth of industrial districts and important national and international industries. The hub will develop training, consultancy and research initiatives based on the specific needs of the territory and the recipients.

“The opening of the new Veneto hub in the Dolomites represents a fundamental strategic evolution for the growth of the Luiss Business School”, commented Vincenzo Boccia, President of Luiss. "Thanks to the activities of the hub and the skills of the Business School, we will be able to respond to a deeply felt need for advanced training in the area, reinforcing our mission to be close to businesses to encourage their growth and ability to face the challenges of digital economy and internationalization”, added Boccia.

"The creation of the Veneto hub in the Dolomites follows that of the Milan hub, now fully operational: through these structures, Luiss Business School wants to strengthen its position as an excellent higher education school and an ideal partner for businesses in the area" , added Luigi Abete, President of Luiss Business School. "In recent years, the School has embarked on an important growth path, destined to consolidate further thanks also to the new hub", concluded Abete.

In recent years, thanks to the economic crisis, the province of Belluno has seen the driving force of local businesses slow down: the new hub therefore aims to give new impetus to entrepreneurship in the area and to restore life to the economic and social fabric, favoring the of young people in the local context.

The hub also aims to respond to the lack of university centers and research and innovation centers in the area, creating an ecosystem prone to innovation and the creation of new businesses. The fundamental objective will also be to encourage the dissemination of an approach aimed at internationalization and digital transformation, also stimulating the creation of a "network of skills", thanks to the network between universities and local stakeholders.

The first activities of the hub will start in 2020 with the launch of the first executive courses aimed at local businesses.
