THE STAR OF FERRAGAMO SHINES, FIAT UNCHANGED

MILAN BEST PRICE LIST IN EUROPE. US ON THE RISE 

The European Stock Exchanges closed under the banner of uncertainty in the last session of the week and of the month. But Piazza Affari is an exception: the Ftse Mib index recovers ground in the final and closes positively with a rise of 0,54% to 20,451.

Indices edged lower ahead of the shutdown on the high-risk situation in Ukraine and a worse-than-expected US consumption reading.

The most significant data of the day, as far as Italy is concerned, is the drop in consumer prices by 0,1% year on year in August, deflation has not been seen since 1959. 

In Europe, on the other hand, there is a slight acceleration in prices, with the annual inflation figure rising to +0,9% in August, better than the +0,8% expected by economists, a result that reduces the chances of an intervention by the ECB already next Thursday.

Frankfurt scores +0,08%, Paris unchanged, Madrid +0.06%

The American stock market rose with the S&P500 index rising by 0,2% in the middle of the session and exceeding the 2.000 level, settling at 2.002, a new all-time high. The Dow Jones is unchanged and the Nasdaq is up 0,4%.

The euro traded against the dollar to 1,3146 from 1,316 this morning. 

On the government bond market, the BTP is traded at a yield of 2,43% (-1 basis point).

In the midst of so many negative notes, the stellar performance of Ferragamo the best blue chip with an increase of 8,49%: yesterday the company released the final data for the quarter. Equita has inserted the title in the list of favorite titles

Among other luxury titles, Tod’s + 1,7% Brunello  cucinelli + 2,48%. Luxottica + 1,50 % 

Banks in no particular order after widespread early morning gains: Banking Pop.Emilia -0,65% Pop.Milan + 1,09%Banco  Popular   + 1,28%. 

Unicredit +0,08%, Iunderstanding  + 0,09% MontePaschi  + 0,98% Where's Banca  -0,08%.

Fiat closes on parity, completely eliminating the important gains from the opening (+3%): the company has issued a press release announcing that, once the checks are almost completed, the requests for withdrawal will not exceed 500 million euros and the merger with Chrysler will be completed by October.
