The ninth Report of the Intranet Bank Observatory of the School of Management of the Milan Polytechnic in collaboration with ABI Lab, the Research and Innovation Center for the Bank, promoted by the Italian Banking Association illustrates the results obtained during the 2012 edition of the Research, which has set itself the following objectives:
1. identify the needs that the Intranet intends to satisfy and the main current and future initiatives developed; understand the governance models of intranet initiatives, identifying the key corporate roles, the main activities performed and the communication and promotion plans used;
2. analyze the communities present on the Intranet, analyzing the target figures, the tools used and the methods of governance; understand the support of Intranet initiatives to Human Resources management activities;
3. analyze the intranet's support for the evolution of the way employees work. To meet the objectives, the following survey methods were used: three different surveys aimed at Intranet Managers, Information Systems Managers and Human Resources Managers, followed by in-depth interviews for the most significant initiatives;
4. cycle of 5 closed-door workshops with the Intranet Managers of the banks of the Observatory and the technological partners.
