Inter celebrates with the goleada, Milan stumbles

Six goals from Inter against derelict Brescia put Conte's Nerazzurri back in the running for the scudetto sprint – Milan on the other hand makes up for an equal in Ferrara only thanks to an own goal in the 94th minute – Tonight Atalanta-Naples and Roma-Udinese

Inter celebrates with the goleada, Milan stumbles

Inter walks, Milan stumbles. The traps Brescia and Spal, for Conte and Pioli's Milanese, turned out to be decidedly different: the swallows were harmless for the Nerazzurri, capable of winning even 6-0, the Ferrarese were much more lethal for the Rossoneri, who escaped unscathed from Mazza only thanks to an own goal, and in full recovery.

Inter thus she remains clinging to the Juventus and Lazio train, albeit in the last carriage, and also keeps Atalanta at a safe distance: mission accomplished in short, for once without any worries. Yet the first occasion had been from Brescia, with Donnarumma spoiling face to face with Handanovic after a mistake by Young. However, the Englishman knew how to redeem himself best a minute later, sending the first ball of the evening into the net with a nice volley following an assist from Sanchez (5').

From there the match went downhill and when Alexis doubled from a penalty (20', foul by Mateju on Moses) he even ended up in the safe. The 3-0 already arrived in the first half with D'Ambrosio (45'), good at optimizing Young's assist with his header, with the logical consequence of a pure academy recovery, in which Inter amused themselves and their fans . Gagliardini canceled (or at least tried to) the mistake with Sassuolo by scoring the 4-0 (52'), Eriksen, who took over from the former Atalanta, first found his first goal in Serie A with a paw in front of goal (83') , then propitiated the final 6-0 with an assist to Candreva (88'). In short, a tennis victory, the best encouragement to respond to Juve and Lazio, but above all to prepare for the next weekend, on favorable terms.

"We were good at winning but I especially liked the attitude of the guys who never stopped, always looked forward keeping their foot on the accelerator - satisfied comment from Tale – We scored many goals and didn't concede, this thing must give us satisfaction. Looking at the team there have always been many positive indications, then it depends if you want to look at the glass as half full or half empty. For Inter you want to look at the glass half empty and create problems, but for me there's no problem. Attack me instead of the players or the club…”.

Misstep instead for the Milan, forced to interrupt the miniseries of victories with a draw that has a decidedly bitter taste. Of course, given how things had turned out in Ferrara, the 2-2 final is almost won, but a team aiming for Europe cannot and must not be satisfied with a draw against the penultimate in the standings, moreover outnumbered throughout the second half. The truth is that the Rossoneri screwed up above all in their approach, demonstrating once again a mental fragility not worthy of a great club.

After half an hour, the result was Spal 2 Milan 0, thanks to goals from Valoti (13') and Floccari (30', a splendid shot from distance), the result of a soft and poorly concentrated start, as if the successes against Lecce and Roma had brought a certain amount of relaxation. In the second half however, thanks to D'Alessandro's expulsion at the end of the first half, the Rossoneri stormed the Letica goal, without however collecting anything until the 79th minute, despite the entry of Ibrahimovic, returning after the calf injury.

When Leao scored the 1-2 goal, the AC Milan siege became even more convinced, even if the final 2-2 draw was signed by a Spal player, namely Vicari, author of an unfortunate own goal in full recovery (94 '). The final point is tight for the hosts, now 7 less from salvation, but also for the Rossoneri: seventh place is safe for now, but Verona's victory over Parma and the upcoming fixture list (Lazio, Juventus and Napoli) do not they authorize peaceful sleep.

"It was a step backwards especially in the result, we had started well but conceded two goals in the three shots allowed – the analysis of Pioli – We had plenty of time to resume the challenge, but much more attention and determination were needed: I'm happy with the reaction, but on a technical level we needed to do much better. We now have three challenging matches against strong opponents, but we can play them all. Our goal is to improve the standings, we are worth more than seventh place".

Instead, they will close the day Atalanta-Naples (19.30 pm) e Roma-Udinese (21.45), for another evening that promises to be full of goals and entertainment. At stake is the European zone, which will depend above all on the result in Bergamo: a Nerazzurri success, in all likelihood, would block Gasperini's Champions League qualification, while if the Azzurri were to prevail, Gattuso and Fonseca could return to feed some hope. Obviously, however, Roma, as well as supporting Napoli (or at least a draw), must beat Udinese, on pain of basking in the umpteenth regret of this disappointing season so far.

Gasperini, for his part, knows he has his destiny in his own hands, which is why, with the exception of injuries (Palomino) and disqualifications (Malinovskyi), he will field the eleven type, in defiance of any turnover logic, therefore 3-4- 1-2 with Gollini in goal, Toloi, Caldara and Djimsiti in defense, Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler and Gosens in the midfield, Gomez in the trocar, Ilicic and Zapata in attack. Classic 4-3-3 also for Gattuso, who wants to reopen the Champions League with Ospina in goal, Di Lorenzo, Maksimovic, Koulibaly and Mario Rui in the back, Fabian Ruiz, Demme and Zielinski in the midfield, Politano, Mertens and Insigne in the offensive trident.

In the postponement of the Olimpico, however, we will see if Roma, without the disqualified Pellegrini and Veretout and the long-term patient Zaniolo, will be able to get back up after the knockout in Milan. Fonseca will rely on a 4-2-3-1 with Mirante in goal, Bruno Peres, Mancini, Smalling and Kolarov in defense, Villar and Cristante in midfield, Carles Perez, Pastore and Perotti behind the lone striker Dzeko. Gotti, fresh from the defeat against Atalanta, will try the feat with a 3-5-2 that will see Musso between the posts, Becao, Nuytinck and Samir in the back, Stryger Larsen, De Paul, Jajalo, Fofana and Sema in the midfield , Teodorczyk and Lasagna up front.
