The "Chinese" Inter beat Hajduk in the Europa League preliminaries and have Lucas in hand

Victory on the field and on the market. Inter's Thursday of glory began in Split, thanks to a dry 0-3 that closes every qualifying speech, and continued in San Paolo, where Branca scored an even more important goal. In fact, the Nerazzurri manager has practically reached an agreement for the purchase of Lucas, on the basis of 27 million euros, which with the bonuses can reach 32. If we add to this the yes from the player, obtained some time ago, the picture is in shades of blue, indeed nerazzurri. At the conclusion of the deal now the most important piece is missing: Massimo Moratti's ok. The president, present yesterday in Split, will have to give the go-ahead for a truly important investment, almost from another era, at least as far as Italian football is concerned. At a time when the great champions leave Serie A and those who arrive are mostly at the end of their careers or on free transfers, Inter could buy a talent followed by half of Europe, a young man of just 19 with an appetite for sheikhs and prestigious English and non-English clubs. A bombastic operation, probably a consequence of the entry into the company of China Railway, which acquired 15% of the Nerazzurri's shares. Fresh money, but above all the prospect of future investments, as demonstrated by the desire to build a new stadium by 2017. And so Branca was finally able to present a concrete proposal to San Paolo, which despite the initial proclamations seems close to being sold. Now all we have to do is wait for the end of the Olympics, after which we'll know Lucas' future, but the chances that the Brazilian can land in Milan are high.

Meanwhile, Inter won and convinced in its first official outing. Of course, Hajduk Split seen yesterday certainly couldn't worry the Nerazzurri, but such an easy victory was anything but obvious. Game organization, desire and good physical shape, as well as a 0-3 that leaves no room for surprises in view of the second leg: Split represented this for Inter, and sorry if it's not enough. Goals from Sneijder (inspired like in the good old days), Nagatomo and Coutinho were decisive, as well as great performances from Guarin and captain Zanetti. Stramaccioni wants to keep his feet on the ground, but the satisfaction is great: “We had prepared this match in detail, I think Inter were perfect tonight. That's fine, but let's continue to work as well as we are doing, always with our feet on the ground".
