Inflation eased in July in Germany, France and Spain

In Germany in July the annual rate fell to 0,8%, from 1%, while the change on a monthly basis was 0,3% – In France -0,3% compared to June, +0,5% year on year – Spain freezes: -0,9% per month, -0,3 per year.

Inflation eased in July in Germany, France and Spain

European inflation is still slowing down. After the disappointing data published yesterday by Istat, today it was the turn of the other main countries of the Eurozone.

In GermanyThe annual rate of price growth fell to 0,8% in July from 1% the previous month. The change on a monthly basis was 0,3%. The data is in line with analysts' estimates.

Even more worrying is the result recorded by France, which in the same month saw inflation even fall into negative territory by 0,3 percentage points compared to June, which brings the annual rate to +0,5%, unchanged compared to June.

Freezing on prices also in Spain, where in July inflation showed a decrease of 0,9% compared to the previous month. The annual rate of consumer prices instead stood at -0,3%, against +0,1% in June.
