Two Italians were killed in Libya, on the outskirts of Sabrata, a city in the north-west of the African country. This was announced by the Farnesina, which informs that from the first information alone and still in the absence of the availability of the bodies, it could be two of the four Italian employees of the Bonatti construction company, kidnapped in July 2015. Fausto Piano and Salvatore Failla (the other two are Gino Pollicardo and Filippo Calcagno, ed), who were killed during a transfer during which a group of ISIS terrorists allegedly attacked a convoy, also causing other victims.
According to a witness, the two Italians may have been "used as human shields by the ISIS jihadists", and would have died "in clashes with the militias". It is not yet clear what happened. In the attack at least seven alleged jihadists would have died, most of Tunisian nationality. In addition, a woman was killed and a child was injured in the clashes.
