Liberalisations, Passera: second tranche if necessary

Liberalisations, Passera: second tranche if necessary

"If necessary", the Government will develop a second liberalization package. This was confirmed this morning by the Minister of Economic Development and Infrastructure, Corrado Passera, speaking this morning in the program "The phone call" to Maurizio Belpietro.

As for the location of the Bank of Italy, according to which the government is on the right track but could have done more to liberalize various sectors, especially banks, insurance companies and professionals, "we think we have taken a big step forward - added Passera - and nobody will stop us from doing anything else if there will be some good ideas. Some of the sectors mentioned have been the subject of very strong competition openings in recent years. The Authority which is the regulator of the banking system will certainly bring us other ideas. It's not that with what we've done, the work is finished”.
