Virtual lessons: “At-Home Art Class” with the Guggenheim

Since its foundation, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum has maintained its belief in the transformative powers of art. In uncertain times like these, art can provide solace and inspiration. Although the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Catalytic Building is temporarily closed, a virtual community remains alive, igniting ideas, discussions and creativity.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum invites students to explore images of the museum's architecture, collection artwork, and special exhibitions in a series of virtual art classes. Each 45-minute digital session will include guided dialogues on selected artworks and art tips focusing on a specific theme.

Sessions will be conducted digitally on Zoom. Participants should have access to a computer with a camera and wifi. The Zoom meeting link of each session will be sent by email before the class.

Upcoming sessions include:

Thursday 9 April, 15-15pm
Collage for 6-8 graders
Thursday 9th April, 16-00pm, 16
Cardboard construction for 3rd and 5th graders
