The euro flies, the stock market holds up, Btp Italia over 2,6 billion

The euro continues to gain ground against the dollar and reaches the highest levels of the year (1,10) – Piazza Affari holds (+0,38%) and is positioned among the best European lists but behind London – Enel and Terna, Atlantia are running and Banca Generali – Buzzi, Bper, Prysmian and Mediobanca are down – Over 2,6 billion euros in funding by Btp Italia after the second day.

The Nasdaq is currently in positive territory; weak Dow 30 and S&P 500. Investors fear perhaps the political uncertainty due to the new storm over President Donald Trump, for top secret revelations to Russian diplomats.

Oil slowed, Brent +0,06%, 51,85 dollars a barrel, after a run that led it to gain almost 9% in a week, in the wake of the increased probability of production cuts until March 2018. newfound European stability, with Macron's victory and the strengthening of Paris-Berlin relations, instead supports the euro and peripheral Eurozone stocks. The single currency, in the exchange rate with the dollar, exceeds 1,10.

Enel's light shines in Piazza Affari, lit by Goldman Sachs which confirmed the "buy" judgment by raising the target price from 5,4 to 5,5 euros. Atlantia remains on the shields, +1,69%, after yesterday's announcement of the offer on Abertis. The Spanish government, writes Reuters, considers the satellite operator Hispasat, controlled by Abertis, a strategic asset, but considers the offer on the infrastructure group to be a private operation. Meanwhile, Standard & Poor's confirms the rating of Atlantia, Autostrade per l'Italia and Aeroporti di Roma at BBB+, however changing the outlook from 'stable' to 'negative'.

Tonica Banca Generali +1,97%, which is accompanied by a good performance by the Trieste Lion, +1,01%. Even today, financials close at different speeds, partly due to profit-taking, down Bper -1,65%.
