Letta: “Recovery in 2014 at your fingertips”

Speaking at the Coni National Council, the prime minister spoke of the recovery in sight in 2014: "There are macroeconomic signals that go in this direction, but they are not yet seen in practice" - "The public needs intervention for sports facilities : 2024 Olympics goal”.

Letta: “Recovery in 2014 at your fingertips”

The recovery is there, but still not seen. This was stated by Prime Minister Enrico Letta, in a speech to the Coni National Council. According to the Prime Minister, there are macroeconomic data which indicate that “the recovery in 2014 is at hand, but they are still not seen concretely because the long wave of the crisis is still there. However, we can reverse the trend and restore confidence and domestic demand".

Letta touched on the issue of "school construction and sports facilities", reiterating the need for public intervention, "without which everything will be more difficult and complicated", and underlining the work done up to now by the Executive on this front, despite the difficulty of moving according to the accounts.

The theme of sports facilities, defined as "overall deficient", will also find a place within the Stability law, with an amendment that can, starting from January 2014, "provide a coherent regulatory framework. We need - continued Letta - modern sports facilities, which can always be used throughout the week". Systems that could serve to make Italy's candidacy for the 2024 Olympics more credible: "It's a game we have to play".
