Let's Drink South: the great wines of the South and the islands are presented in Rome between tastings and masterclasses

Industry professionals and wine enthusiasts will have the opportunity from 7nd to 9th December to know and taste a exceptional selection of Southern Italian wines from over 50 carefully selected winemakers with the sixth edition of Let's drink South Rome, the most important event in the Capital aimed at the promotion and professional communication of the wines of the South. Which will be held at the Hotel Palatino in Rome,

“Beviamoci Sud Roma”, created by Riserva Grande, Andrea Petrini, wine blogger of Percorsi di Vino, with the technical direction of Luciano Pignataro, Italian journalist, writer and gastronome, and organized in two days on 7 and 8 December 2024 and will be divided between free tastings at the tasting tables, in the presence of the winemaker, and masterclasses by reservation and with limited places available.

“This year – says Luciano Pignataro – we have doubled our efforts regarding the seminars which, for this edition, are scheduled for both Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December. Four unmissable events where we will delve into the nuances of the Apulian Nero di Troia, we will taste the flavours of the Castelli Romani, we will celebrate the 20 years of Rocca del Principe with a beautiful vertical and, thanks to the Tourism Movement of the Sardinia, we will get to know the rare wines of this splendid island.

In this context - continues Pignataro - I thank Marco Cum and Andrea Petrini for believing every year in this event that represents an important showcase for the wines of our South that, fortunately, have returned to shine on the international scene, conquering the most demanding palates. Behind these successes, there is the passionate work of many producers who, with great respect for tradition and an eye to the future, are creating unique and memorable wines. Beviamoci Sud Roma - concludes Pignataro - is the perfect opportunity to deepen the knowledge of these products having the possibility of tasting the most representative labels especially from companies that are still little known ".

Let's drink South Rome is also communication and business for which the day of December 9th, as usual, will be dedicated only and exclusively to journalists and professionals of the Ho.Re.Ca sector.whose presence, in 2023, almost reached 300 attendees. On the same day, as happened last year, the awards ceremony will be held for both the Ambassadors of Beviamoci Sud Roma, selected among the commercial establishments with the best wine list in Southern Italy, and the Excellences of Beviamoci Sud Roma, a recognition through which a qualified jury, chaired by Luciano Pignataro, awards a diploma of merit to the best wines presented by the participating companies.
