The father parried the penalties, the son will have to parry the excessive costs of Leonardo, the former Finmeccanica. Alessandro Profumo, the CEO of the aerospace and defense group, has entrusted the engineer Marco Zoff, son of the legendary Juventus goalkeeper and the national team world champion in Spain, with the responsibility of Leonardo's new management for the control of purchase and supplier costs. He will be Leonardo's "chief of procurement & supply chain officer".

Profumo, who is notoriously an Inter fan, didn't question his football faiths: he met Marco Zoff, who has been with the group since 2005, as soon as he arrived at the headquarters in Piazza Monte Grappa in Rome and immediately appreciated his professionalism, first appointing him chief of staff and yesterday Mister Spending review or as Mr. Costi affectionately calls him.

Evidently the month of March brings good luck to the Zoff family. On March 15, 1978, exactly forty years ago, Dino Zoff saved a couple of penalties from Krol's Ajax giants in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, opening the doors of the semi-final to his Juve. Yesterday, however, his son Marco scored, a highly esteemed engineer in Leonardo, who will now have to strictly mark purchases and suppliers.
