Leonardo presents its largest drone

At the inauguration of Paris Aerospace Show Leonardo presented the Falco Xplorer, the largest drone ever made by the group, with a flight autonomy of over 24 hours and a load capacity of 350 kg.

The company explains that the drone, entirely designed and manufactured in Europe, will be aimed at civilian and military customers. It is currently undergoing certification for flying in non-segregated airspace, a prerequisite for offering the product to civilian customers, such as the coast guard and civil and military protection.

"Falco Xplorer is designed to be extremely competitive within its category - commented Alessandro Profumo, Leonardo's CEO - and is based on the experience gained over the years, thanks to the work carried out for many international customers, and on the leadership of the company in remotely piloted systems. We plan to increase our market share in the drone sector thanks to our ability to fully understand customer needs and respond to them appropriately".
