Leonardo strengthens itself in the South American market of VIP/Corporate helicopters. At Labace (San Paolo), an important aerospace exhibition in the region dedicated to the executive transport sector, the Italian group announced new orders for five helicopters, for a total value of approximately 30 million euros.
Currently the fleet of aircraft produced by Leonardo includes over 170 helicopters in Brazil and more than 220 in the whole of Latin America. To these are now added three AW109 Trekker light twin-engine helicopters, an AW109 GrandNew and an AW169 light intermediate helicopter
ICON, Leonardo's official distributor in Brazil of the AW109 Trekker, has ordered two machines in VIP configuration. Another AW109 Trekker and an AW109 GrandNew, also in VIP configuration, have instead been ordered by two separate local private operators.
At the beginning of the afternoon, Leonardo's stock dropped 1,5% at 9,748 euros.
