Leonardo delivers helicopter to the Guardia di Finanza

Leonardo delivered a new generation AW169M military helicopter to the Guardia di Finanza. The aircraft is part of a contract for the supply of 22 aircraft by 2024 for a total value of 280 million euros.

The contract establishes that Leonardo provides support and training which could be extended in the future for further services with an additional value of 100 million euros.

The AW169Ms will be used by the Guardia di Finanza for air-maritime patrolling, territorial control, public order settlement, rescue and security missions, adding to the fleet of 14 AW139s. 

“The AW169M is the military variant of the new generation 4,8-tonne twin-engine helicopter AW169 designed according to the strictest EASA requirements for military, public safety and government customers,” Leonardo points out.
