Leonardo has completed the acquisition of 100 percent of Vitrociset, a company that offers specialist services and solutions for complex systems in the Defense and Security, Space, Transport and Critical Infrastructure sectors.
The announcement was made by Leonardo who, in a note, writes that "the closing of the purchase transaction of 98,54% of Vitrociset took place, all the foreseen conditions having been verified, including the Golden power and Antitrust authorizations . Leonardo thus holds 100% of the capital of Vitrociset".
The operation "creates value by contributing to the strengthening of Leonardo in its core business of Services, in particular Logistics, Simulation & Training and Space Operations".
We recall that Leonardo, last September, had exercised the right of first refusal on Vitrociset, causing the previous offer made by Fincantieri and Mermec to lapse.
In Piazza Affari, the Leonardo stock gains 0,8% to 8,4 euros.
