"The agreement will focus, in particular, on the "Structural Health Monitoring" and "Road Asset Management" of the structures supporting road mobility, with the application of systems for the static and dynamic control of structures and systems, and on the "Smart Road", which allows communication and interconnection between vehicles, or the development of solutions and services aimed at increasing travel safety, through assisted driving and, eventually, autonomous driving", reads a note .

The purpose of the collaboration is to make available a real and concrete execution capacity for the modernization of mobility networks.

"The parties will define a joint commercial strategy and will cooperate to guarantee the security of the country's strategic assets in order to promote and increase Made in Italy in a highly competitive context today dominated by foreign players", continues the note.

For Leonardo, the agreement complements the agreement signed in July 2021 to join the network of companies named “Thousand Infrastructures”, made up of Italian companies and institutions in the sector characterized by high and specialized expertise.

The agreement, which extends the scope of activity of the agreement signed between Almaviva and Fincantieri in 2021, may be the subject of "subsequent specific agreements that the parties will define in compliance with the applicable legislation including that on transactions between related parties". the companies know.
