Leonardo has signed an offset deal with the Polish Defense Ministry worth around 90 million. The agreement – finalized through Leonardo MW Ltd, a subsidiary of the Italian defense group – anticipates the contract for the supply of AW101 military helicopters to Poland.
"The offset agreement guarantees the Polish Ministry of Defense the transfer of important industrial capabilities in the field of maintenance for its future AW101 helicopters and for specific mission equipment", reads the group's note.
Leonardo already has an important industrial presence in Poland through the PZL-Swidnik helicopter plant.
