Leonardo: agreement with Coursera for training 40 employees

Leonardo has made a deal with Coursera, a digital platform that deals with MOOC courses (Massive Online Open Courses), aimed at offering new training opportunities to the group's 40 employees.

Leonardo's workers will therefore be able to access Coursera personalized training paths, acquiring new skills. In fact, the platform contains many courses attributable to Leonardo's Skills Management System, delivered by the most prestigious universities - around 190 universities - and by world leading companies in the hi-tech industry.

Employees will be able to get the certifications of educational paths, issued by Coursera on behalf of the main Universities in the world and which can be published by each employee also directly on their LinkedIn profile.

“The agreement with Coursera – he underlines Simonetta Iarlori, Leonardo's Chief People, Organization & Transformation Officer – confirms the Company's commitment to investing in its most important strategic asset, people, further expanding our training offer. Through this agreement, the continuous updating of our employees will be further encouraged, supporting the diffusion of the aptitude for continuous training and self-employment."

“Through this tool Leonardo significantly enhances the use of Mobile Learning, learning with the aid of mobile devices, to allow continuous access to training. This method of learning in the USA, to date, involves about 67% of companies and, since 2000, has recorded a growth of 900%”, underlines the company.
