Lendix, the number one platform in France dedicated to online financing for businesses, has appointed Sergio Zocchi as CEO of Lendix Italia as part of the strategic plan to expand the business in Europe. Zocchi was tasked with building and leading a Milan-based team of professionals with deep experience in finance, IT and risk management. The operational launch of the platform is scheduled for the first quarter of 2017 and the Italian branch plans to expand its team with 10 new resources.
Graduated in Electronic Engineering and with a Master in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking, Zocchi is an entrepreneur with a long experience; he has been the founder and manager of several companies in the technology sector, taking them from start-ups to successful companies. Business angel and venture capital investor since 2010, he founded the investment fund JVCapital. Before joining Lendix, he was a Partner at United Ventures, a leading Italian venture capital fund authorized by the Bank of Italy. Furthermore, he collaborates with the European Commission as an expert for the development of programs to support entrepreneurship and innovation.
