The Rosatellum bis, ie the new electoral law, received the approval of the Chamber yesterday. There were 375 votes in favor, 215 against.
In favor of the electoral reform were - in addition to the government majority - Forza Italia, Lega, Ala-Sc and Dit. Progressive camp split in the vote: Tabacci and 4 other deputies voted in favor ("At least this law is a step forward towards the centre-left").
Now the parliamentary battle moves to the Senate, which will have to examine and vote on the text issued by Montecitorio. But it is not excluded that the Gentiloni government will again resort to trust.
