Stability Law, green light from the Senate to the maxi-amendment: now it's back to the Chamber

With the vote of confidence during the night, the Senate approved the Government's maxi-amendment and the entire Stability Law with effects on the State Budget - Now the measure passes to the final vote of the Chamber - 162 voted in favour, 30 against , many absent

During the night, the Stability Law gets the green light from the Senate. After hectic days and hours, the Government, through recourse to the vote of confidence, managed to get the maxi-amendment approved in Palazzo Madama which corrects the text of the Stability Law as it had come out of the Parliamentary Commissions and purifies it of the thousand expenses and concessions surreptitiously introduced by lobbies and corporations.

162 voted in favor of the Stability Law supported by the Government, 30 against, many absent.

The Government can breathe a sigh of relief for the step forward made by the budget maneuver but the goal, even if closer, has not yet been achieved.

Now the provision passes to the Chamber for the final vote.
