Stability Law: the Government places the trust and today the Senate votes for it

The Renzi government has asked the Senate for confidence in a maxi-amendment to the 2016 Stability Law which incorporates all the changes already made by the Budget Commission of Palazzo Madama.

The Senate floor will vote for confidence in the maxi-amendment today and next week the key measure of the Renzi government's economic policy will be examined by the Chamber with a view to definitive approval within the month of December.

The main changes made to the original text by the Budget Commission include the abolition of the Tasi tax also on the first home of separated spouses, the cancellation of undeclared rentals, the ceiling of one thousand euros for cash only for money transfers (in other cases it is to 3 thousand euros), the payment of the Rai license fee in 10 installments with exemption for over 75s with income up to 8 thousand euros.

During the examination in the Senate, many amendments on pensions were also presented, and in particular on the flexibility in leaving, which however were rejected by the Government or postponed to the examination of the Chamber.
